Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Catering, Bar, and Southeast Asian Style Entertainment Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of Southeast Asian entertainment culture, including karaoke, sports viewing, and gaming experiences. This role involves planning and coordinating food and beverage service, managing entertainment offerings, supervising staff, and ensuring exceptional guest experiences while effectively managing budgets and maintaining quality standards.
Responsibilities:
entertainment Management
- Plan and implement diverse entertainment programs drawing from Southeast Asian evening entertainment culture.
- Develop and oversee karaoke events, sports viewing experiences, and gaming setups (including virtual reality).
- Research and stay current with Southeast Asian entertainment trends and incorporate them into our offerings.
- Coordinate with entertainers, vendors, and technical staff to ensure smooth execution of events.
- Evaluate entertainment offerings and adjust based on guest feedback and market trends.
food Beverage Operations
- Support the development of authentic Southeast Asian food and drink menus in collaboration with the culinary team.
- Direct and coordinate catering and bar facilities for both regular service and special events.
- Establish and maintain quality control standards for all food and beverage offerings.
- Manage the purchasing, receiving, and storage of food, beverages, and supplies.
- Monitor inventory levels and control costs while maintaining product quality.
Staff Management
- Supervise, train, and evaluate catering, bar, and entertainment staff.
- Create staff schedules and ensure appropriate staffing levels for all shifts and events.
- Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork and excellent service.
- Resolve staff conflicts and address performance issues promptly and effectively.
- Conduct regular staff meetings to communicate updates and gather feedback.
Business Operations
- Manage operational budgets for catering, bar, and entertainment departments.
- Track and analyse sales data to identify trends and optimisation opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and alcohol service regulations.
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote entertainment offerings.
- Build relationships with suppliers and negotiate favourable terms for products and services.
Qualifications:
- RQF Level 3 qualification or higher in hospitality management, event management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in catering, bar management, and entertainment planning.
- Knowledge of Southeast Asian food, beverages, and entertainment culture.
- Experience in budget management and inventory control.
- Strong leadership and staff management skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
- Proficiency with point-of-sale systems and basic accounting principles.
- Valid alcohol service certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with Southeast Asian cuisine and entertainment concepts.
- Understanding of virtual reality gaming setups and technology.
- Knowledge of audio-visual equipment for karaoke and sports viewing.
- Experience in marketing and promoting entertainment events.
- Language skills relevant to Southeast Asian countries (such as Thai, Vietnamese, Filipino, Malaysian, etc.).
Conditions:
- Regular working hours from 8 am until 4 pm, Sunday through Thursday.
- Late working hours required on Fridays and Saturdays for evening entertainment events.
- Standing for extended periods and moving between different areas of the venue.
- Fast-paced, dynamic work environment requiring exceptional multitasking abilities.
- Occasional lifting of supplies and equipment (up to 25 kg).
